Sacraments & Mass Attendance

Sacraments and

Mass Attendance

Two years of preparation for a sacrament are required by Archdiocesan

guidelines to make Communion and Confirmation. St. Agnes typically prepares

children for First Reconciliation and First Communion in 1st and 2nd grade, with

the children receiving their sacraments in the springtime of their 2nd grade year.

Confirmation preparation is offered to youth in grades 7 and 8, with the

sacrament of Confirmation offered in the fall of their 9th grade year.

Mass attendance is recorded for Grades 2 through 8 as one gauge for

sacramental readiness.  Mass is recorded through the use of the CFD Mass Intention

cards that can be downloaded from our website or by clicking the link below.

Children preparing for a sacrament should try not to miss more than 8 Masses.
