Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Our Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist in the distribution of the most precious body and blood of Christ. Whether it is during Mass or ministering to those who are homebound, sick, or in the hospital, the EMHC's serve with reverence and awe of the beautiful mystery.
Ministers are selected by the pastor and mandated by the bishop. According to canon law ministers must:
be at least 16 years or older
be fully initiated into the sacramental life of the Church, having received Baptism, Communion, and Confirmation.
be in a state of grace, meaning you are not conscious of any unconfessed mortal sin.
Lectors
Our lectors are a vital and sacred ministry within the Mass. They are tasked with proclaiming the Word of God with a deep sense of reverence, clarity, and understanding of the Sacred Scripture.
Lectors are designated by the pastor. Their responsibilities include:
Proclaiming the first and second reading at Mass.
Leading the Psalm in the absence of a cantor.
Leading the Prayers of the Faithful if there is no deacon.
Can be called upon to assist in para-liturgical services or communal gatherings of prayer.
Music

Musicians are invited to participate by the music director in consort with the pastor.
