Director of Music |
Matteo Belli
Matteo Belli is a musician originally from Florence, Italy. He’s worked as a choral conductor, accompanist, composer, and professor for many years in both secular and diocesan contexts. Since he was a kid, Matteo was drawn to monastic chant and polyphony and, over time, has developed an unceasing love for the liturgy as the source and summit of our Catholic faith. Previous appointments include the liturgical direction of a military high school in Italy and the parish of St. Francis Xavier in Washington, DC. Matteo is very excited about his new role of Director of Music and Organist at St. Agnes. He’s married to Anna, a nurse practitioner from New York, and together they’re expecting a child.
